Non perderti Webnotte, martedì 2 Non perderti dicembre alle 21! Nella prossima puntata del programma cult di Repubblica, condotto da Ernesto Assante e Gino Castaldo, ci saranno anche il violinista jazz Luca Ciarla e il compositore e pianista americano Chris Jarrett. Per seguire Webnotte in diretta vai su Repubblica.it poco prima dell’inizio della trasmissione. Si parlerà del nuovo disco di Luca e del prossimo tour, con la data clou all’Auditorium di Roma del 7 dicembre.

Con il Teatro del Loto di Ferrazzano, il 5 dicembre partirà il primo tour di ViolinAir, il nuovo disco del Luca Ciarla Quartet, con Vince Abbracciante, Nicola Di Camillo e Francesco Savoretti; in tour anche Chris Jarrett in qualità di special guest. Nei prossimi mesi Luca raramente potrà disfare le valigie; sono in preparazione tour in Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, Scozia, Inghilterra, Germania, Svizzera, Austria, Francia, Stati Uniti, Canada, Giappone, Cina, Brasile e Argentina. Focus on Vince Abbracciante, partner della Violipiano dal 2011. In pochi anni lo straordinario fisarmonicista pugliese si è affermato nel panorama jazzistico italiano e non solo, collaborando con musicisti del calibro di Marc Ribot, John Medeski, Ornella Vanoni, Flavio Boltro, Juini Booth, Lucio Dalla e tantissimi altri. “…mi ha impressionato…in ogni brano mi ha imbarcato in una storia e commosso.” A dirlo è Richard Galliano. Dopo la performance a Singapore Keziat torna in Italia per una mostra antologica al Museo Agapito Miniucchi di Rocca Sinibalda, bellissimo borgo in provincia di Rieti. Realizzata in collaborazione con la galleria Studio 7 Arte Contemporanea, l’esposizione si inaugura il 20 dicembre ed è a cura di Barbara Pavan. In mostra gli ultimi sorprendenti lavori realizzati interamente a penna su tela o carta e installazioni video (a destra, frame dal video Memoria di un folle). Seguila su Facebook.

News – Chris Jarrett and Luca Ciarla in tour in Australia, Indonesia and Singapore

Internationally acclaimed composer and pianist Chris Jarrett and worldwide busy improviser and magician of the violin Luca Ciarla will be touring in Australia, Indonesia and Singapore from February 14 to March 8. The musicians will play in Perth, Merredin, Melbourne, Albury-Wodonga, Queanbeyan (Canberra), Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Adelaide, Jakarta and Singapore. One of the most unique and spectacular duos today, Chris Jarrett and Luca Ciarla stroll comfortably through contemporary, jazz and folk idioms. Their original music is the common ground where the traditional violin/piano setting is taken to new, innovative and powerful dimensions. The tour in Australia, Indonesia and Singapore will feature some of the most prestigious venues and festivals of that area of the world, such as the Melbourne Recital Centre or the Java Jazz Festival in Jakarta. The long awaited new album by the Luca Ciarla Quartet will be finally out in November! Mostly recorded in Thailand during their last tour in Asia, ViolinAir features Vince Abbracciante on accordion and piano, Nicola Di Camillo on bass and double bass, Francesco Savoretti on drums/percussions and Luca Ciarla on violin, electronics, vocals, ocarina, baritone violin and toy instruments. Listen on Radio Violipiano to the opening tune Re Mi-Lo Sol. 

Proudly introducing a new Violipiano artist. Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania (Usa) and raised in the beautiful scenery of the Appalachian Mountains in a family with extraordinary musical talent, composer and pianist Chris Jarrett is simply an outstanding musician. In Chris Jarrett‘s music classical and ethnic forms coexist peacefully with the most extreme contemporary language and the freedom of jazz improvisation.

After her worldwide cycle of exhibitions Visionaria which has brought her unique style to New York, Singapore, Amsterdam, Rome and at the MAT Museum in Apulia, Keziat goes back to Asia for a performance in Singapore commissioned by Ricciotti’s, realized in collaboration with the Sabiana Paoli Art Gallery.
