The Italian Cultural Institute of Oslo presents a concert with Antonio Artese from Museo Marino Marini
On Thursday, December 3 at 6:30 pm, the Italian Cultural Institute of Oslo will present La Musica delle Forme, the online concert with pianist Antonio Artese from Museo Marino Marini in Florence.
"The works of artist, Marino Marini, exerted a very strong impression upon me from the first moment I ventured into the eponymous Museum in Florence," Artese unveils. "Here, the force of the materials and the effects of history are present in every corner of the former Church of San Pancrazio, where the collection resides. Recently, during a tranquil visit, I observed these works of art once again. They are imposing in their purity and in the dynamism of the medium shaped by Marini. I listened, trying to connect the forms and the space they occupied to a sense of time and an impression of sound." A fascinating vision that has being then materialized into La Musica delle Forme, a suite of 7 pieces: a prelude, a postlude, and five compositions inspired by as many sculptures and recorded in the thirteenth century crypt of the museum itself. An austere and somber place where, alongside the piano, there is another work by Marini; a friendly presence which has helped the artist in creating and performing the works.
The documentary concert La Musica delle Forme, video by Biancalisa Nannini e audio by Samantha N. Stout, is an artistic production of Spectra Enterprises for the Italian Cultural Institute of Oslo, made in collaboration with Museo Marino Marini in Florence, Violipiano Music and LiveOnMârs Tv.
