The music of Bach and going for a hike, the sweet Lazio countryside and the choral “Jesus bleibet meine Freude”, from the Cantata BWV 147 by Johann Sebastian Bach. Practically a new piece by violinist and composer Luca Ciarla, Cantata Walk is the result of a series of overlapping improvisations made with a baroque bow and a violin tuned a semitone below, searching for a different, almost “pastoral” sound.
Violipiano Music proudly presents a new international collaboration with Darkroom Contemporary, an extraordinary contemporary dance company based in Cape Town. Italian musician Luca Ciarla and South African choreographer Louise Coetzer conceived and created Des/Aria, a fascinating contemporary dance video shot by Oscar O’Ryan in South Africa, starring dancer Tania Mteto. The musical composition, titled with the same name, will be distributed by The Orchard/Sony Music and available on all digital stores from June 18.
Maredifollia, the new single by Italian violinist Luca Ciarla, is now available on all digital stores. Produced by Violipiano Records and distributed by The Orchard, a branch of Sony Music Entertainment, the single was recorded on the occasion of the streaming concert for the Italian Cultural Institute of New York, held on the Tremiti Islands last September.
